Here is a treat for you. This July 14th will mark 15 years since the release of Noreaga aka N.O.R.E. aka P.A.P.I’s solo debut album N.O.R.E.. After releasing the critically acclaim album The War Report with rhyme partner Capone, Noreaga released his first solo album, N.O.R.E., to great reviews and commercial success selling over 163,000 in its first week of release. The album featured the crossover hit “Superthug”, introducing the world to the “Neptunes sound”, it’s lead single “N.O.R.E.” and the B-Side posse cut “Banned From T.V.”, featuring some of 1998′s most promising MC’s including Nature, Big Punisher, Cam’Ron and Jadakiss & Styles of The Lox. Travel back in time with N.O.R.E. and others on the set of the Little X directed video for “Banned From T.V.”, getting an exclusive look at some behind the scenes footage during an era in Hip Hop when video blogs was unheard of. Initially, this footage was intended for N.O.R.E.’s “Thugged Out Gangsta Party” documentary, but 15 years later and no signs of the project yet, we are sharing it with N.O.R.E.’s fans, and the rest of the world for that matter.
