Jay IDK (@Jay_IDK) has reached yet another milestone in his thriving music career. Last week, the Maryland upstart released his debut body of work #SubTrap (Suburban Trap is a paradox for trap music with substance.) via COMPLEX. Within hours of being released the project became the main object of chatter across the net and rightfully so.

Bridging the gap between both the conscious and cool, the DMV native’s new LP is loosely based on his life and gives an unbiased perspective of the drug game. Personified through the characters: Chris, Jon Jon, Matt, Ed and King Trappy III (pictured on the LP’s artwork) who you may already be familiar with if you’ve heard the albums lead-in single “The Plug”, and carried on through the albums latest leak “God Said Trap.”

With the first week numbers officially in, the project has already acquired over 500K+ streams collectively via Soundcloud in addiction to 25K+ streams stemming from both Hot New Hip Hop and Audiomack. If you haven’t already given the well structured collection of sounds a listen yet, do so below and when you’ve discovered it lives up to the hype purchase it on iTunes | HERE!
