It’s very reflective on the journey getting here, the crazy life all this has turned into, and all the people I’ve met along the way. For better or for worse, it’s telling stories. It’s this nonchalant attitude towards everything and how they’ve transpired, the waking up after wild parties, the taking it all in when you go out in front of a crowd like this.
On features or collaborations for These Things Happen:
I got ASAP Ferg on my album.
On advice for Justin Bieber:
Man, he’s just being a young rock star. He’s out there living, wildin’ out, it always happens to the kids, to the young stars. It’s a part of the game. He’s young with too much cash, he’s out there living!
On the current Bay Area movement with IAMSU:
I love it. It’s just so dope. I knew IAMSU when we were in high school briefly, so it’s awesome that we were all rapping and making songs in home studio during the hyphie movement. Now we’re all grown up and we’re doing it. It’s good to see they got a great movement.
On growing up in Oakland and living in New Orleans:
They’re just both equally weird. Strange places, they’re both amazing.
On who he wants to work with today:
IAMSU, again. He’s got an album coming, that’s the homie. I’m looking forward to his album.
